關於簡譜

簡譜（Numbered Notation）以 1 到 7 的數字來表示旋律中的每個音，而不是用五線譜上的音符。數字代表這個音在該曲調音階中的級數，而非絕對音高，所以無論用什麼調演唱，同一首曲子的簡譜寫法都一樣。

同一個八度內，數字 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 對應大家熟悉的唱名 Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti。數字上方加一點，表示高八度；下方加一點，表示低八度──不加點則是原本書寫的中央八度。

單獨一個數字代表一拍。數字後面緊接一條短橫線（-），表示這個音延長一拍。數字下方加一條底線則相反，表示縮短時值──一條底線是半拍，兩條底線是四分之一拍。「0」代表休止符，也就是停頓一拍。

譜面最上方的標示，例如「1=C」或「1=Ab」，說明級數 1（「Do」）對應的實際音高。小調樂曲則標示「6=X」──級數 6（「La」）才是真正的主音。音符上方的和絃名稱（如「C」或「G7」）一律使用熟悉的字母名稱，不會改成數字。

例如在「1=C」的標示下，數字 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 唱出來是 C D E F G A B；在「1=G」的標示下，同樣的數字 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 卻唱出 G A B C D E F#──形狀相同，調性不同。

Thank you for having this song. Not only the words, but the music! I have had this come up to me so many times and finally I hear the words. All I can say is Praise You Jesus, once again You fill me with Your Love and answer the smallest desire to know the words to this tune in my heart. God Loves us so much! Please be encouraged today! Only He knows our needs and desires and watches over us in everything in our lives. Love on Him today! He inhabits the Praise of his people.

This song is really a touching one that ministers to me in every aspect of my life, that in everything we are in life, we should always give praise to Him (Jesus) who paid the price for us to be noticed and be relevant to God's mission on earth. Praise the Lord.

Precious hymn! One of my a thousands favors hymns. Before I was capture by the Lord in 1992 on the campus college, I though I was an atheist.

The same year I attended my first winter training on the book of Job. I was like Job praising my Lord, all my worries, anxieties, doubts, and sorrows were replaced once I saw and received my redeemer. Yes! hail Him who seat's on high and our spirit.
