[Part 1:]
God has given us a spirit of love
To be our love.
Everything we do is empty and vain
Without love.
God is love.
God lives in us.
God has given us a spirit of love
To be our love.
Everything we do is empty and vain
Without love.
God is love.
God lives in us.
[Part 2:]
For us to build up the church,
To feed and to minister—
Love is the most excellent way.
For us to be anything,
For us to do anything,
Love is the most excellent way,
The most excellent way.
For us to build up the church,
To feed and to minister—
Love is the most excellent way.
For us to be anything,
For us to do anything,
Love is the most excellent way,
The most excellent way.
[Part 3:]
Recover the church of brotherly love among us.
Recover the church of brotherly love among us.
Lord, flow into our hearts.
Be our brotherly love.
Recover the church of brotherly love among us.
Recover the church of brotherly love among us.
Lord, flow into our hearts.
Be our brotherly love.
(All three parts can be sung together.)
