Unto Thee, O Lord

1
Unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul,
Unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
Oh my God, I trust in Thee,
Let me not be ashamed,
Let not mine enemies triumph over me.
2
Yea, let none that wait on Thee be ashamed,
Yea, let none that wait on Thee be ashamed
3
Show me Thy ways, teach me Thy paths,
Show me Thy ways, teach me Thy paths
4
Remember not the sins of my youth,
Remember not the sins of my youth
5
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth,
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth
6
What man is he that feareth the Lord?
What man is he that feareth the Lord?
7
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him,
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him
8
Turn Thee unto me and have mercy upon me,
Turn Thee unto me and have mercy upon me
9
O keep my soul and deliver me,
O keep my soul and deliver me
10
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me
11
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles,
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles

Great song of God's deliverance! I learnt it 25 years ago from my primary school teacher. Such a blessing when going through the turbulence of life.

I learned this song as a child at summer camp meeting. I hum it often throughout my days. But what has blessed my soul is that my son's (all 5) whistle and hum it too. While they seem unaware that they are "copying mom" I am blessed that they have picked a prayer to the Lord to whistle through their day.

The song came to my spirit man as I was reading the great deliverance in Exodus 3:1. Especially vs 7 which clearly shows that God is aware of what we are passing through and will deliver when we cry unto Him in total submission. I pray in the name of Jesus that as you sing and meditate on the power of God that deliver to the uttermost God Himself will deliver You by His Mighty Powers. In the Name of Jesus.

My sister taught me this song 25+ years ago for some reason out of the blue I started singing it today. I only remembered the first 3 verses but it's kinda neat how the brain and God work. <3
