If you wish to find the Lord

1
If you wish to find the Lord,
Do not seek Him in the world,
For the world is not the place in which He dwells.
In which He dwells, in which He dwells,
In which He dwells, in which He dwells,
For the world is not the place in which He dwells.
2
If you wish to find the Lord,
Do not seek Him in the mind,
For the mind can only know, it cannot taste.
It cannot taste, it cannot taste,
It cannot taste, it cannot taste,
For the mind can only know, it cannot taste.
3
If you wish to find the Lord,
You must open up your heart,
You must open up your heart and let Him in.
Let Him in, let Him in,
Let Him in, let Him in,
You must open up your heart and let Him in.
4
If you wish to let Him in,
You just call upon His name,
You just call upon His name and let Him in.
Call His name, call His name,
Call His name, call His name,
You just call upon His name and let Him in.

Thank you, Zainab.

We just sang this song and added the 5rh stanza at YP meeting.

I just discovered this hymn this morning so I sang and enjoyed over and over again. I then felt a deep need to actually practice letting Him in by opening my heart and calling His name while singing the hymn as with stanza 3&4. This led me to write a 5th stanza. Enjoy!

5.

Lord I wish to let You in, so I'll open up my heart

I'll just call upon Your name and let You in

O Lord Jesus, O Lord Jesus

O Lord Jesus, O Lord Jesus

I'll just call upon Your name and let You in.
