This hymn has been my favorite since I was little and has always been a source of comfort for me.

This is one song that reminds me of the sacrificial work of Christ on the cross.
Cross is the emblem of suffering and shame which Christ endured to make salvation available to every sinner even the worst of sinners.
Whenever I sing this song I become emotional with teary eyes.

May we know more of the Dearest and Best, this Dear Lamb of God who came to dark Calvary to die for our sins. May Your Cross Lord hold a wondrous attraction for us once again. Please draw back the veil Lord so that we can really see Calvary once more and may we see the wondrous beauty in it that the hymn writer once saw. All Heaven is taken up in worshiping the Lamb of God - may I too be taken up in worshiping Calvary’s Lamb.
