It's been a while I sang this beautiful song. My Vicar raised the song last Sunday and I felt my helpless state as a human. This evening I need that Jesus that is pitying and loving to hear my cry.
This Hymn is a most loved hymn of mine as it takes me back to childhood and High School morning devotion. Everytime I hear or sing, it brings me to inexplainable feelings of reality of the penned lyrics. I loved it and can sing it to sleep. I feel the vibes in my spirit my bones goes into ecstasy. I am African, but reside now in Europe.
I haven't sang this song in about 30years, since primary school days of singing Hymns from the little blue Hymn book- Songs of Praise. Then yesterday, the wordings came to my heart and I was able to sing the 1st verse word for word. Praise the Lord!
Back in Secondary school in those days, we always sing this lovely hymn in the morning assembly before we March in.
I have forgotten about the song completely until one little girl from my street was. returning from school few days ago and she sang the song while she walk along the Road and I remembered it again.
