I’m just a little flower With open face; I’m fully turned to God, Receiving grace. I don’t know how to try— This is my case— I’m just a lily trusting God. |

I am 57 this year, and this is one of the Children song I learnt as a child half a century ago! A wonderful song of trusting in Him. Fifty years later I am still trusting in Him.
Indonesian Lyric
Aku bunga kecil
Menengadah,
Paling pada Tuhan
T'rima kurnia
Tak tahu betapa
Selain pri bunga Bakung bersandar Nya

There’s nothing else in this world that I desire, because nothing lasts, except You.
Lord, You are the only One, the true & faithful One that lasts in this universe. A little flower, forever I will be for You - because I have seen Your preciousness. What a blessing it is I can be Your little flower, simply trusting You!

我是小花一朵,敞開我臉。
我完全轉向神,接受恩典。
不知如何完全,就是這樣。
我是小花一朵,我信靠神!
This was my favorite children song to sing growing up in Taipei :)

I learned this song at the age of 7 in 1978 while living in fort Lauderdale, Fla in the children's meeting of the local church.

God is simple, the enemy is complicated. Lord Jesus, remind to be so simple in front of You. Cause me to simply love You as I did when I was in the children's meeting, just like a little lily flower.

When I first sang this song I was thinking about Lilly (an adult in our church).

I first heard this song as a teenager in New Zealand when some brothers were teaching us the guitar. I have since then always come back and gained encouragement from the words which reminds me that our function is just to shine! - To be a vessel to contain God's life - a mirror beholding and reflecting the glory of the Lord. May we be so simple not to care for 'knowing' or 'striving' so much - to simply feed on Him and He will take care of us.
I have been searching for all the verses and am so happy to have found them.
Does anyone know who was the composer of this beautiful song?
