Seek ye first

Scriptures for Singing

Neue Lieder120
1
Seek ye first the kingdom of God
And His righteousness;
And all these things shall be added unto you.
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelu, hallelujah!
2
Ask, and it shall be given unto you;
Seek, and you shall find.
Knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Hallelu, Hallelujah!
3
Man shall not live by bread alone,
But by every word
That proceeds out from the mouth of God.
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Love the lyrics.

I would give this song a mark. Out of the mark I would give to this song is 100% out of 100%.

You missed a verse: If any man would follow Me. Let him deny himself. Take up cross and follow Me. Hallelu, Hallelujah!

My heart was deeply touched by this hymn when I visited the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles this summer although I am a Protestant.

God bless USA.

The way I know the third verse is
I am the way, the truth and the life
That's what Jesus said
No man can come to the Father but by Me
Hallelu, hallelujah

We sang it again this morning, my Step Daughter had to walk out in floods and I had to stop singing it or I'd have had to join her outside the room.
