Seek ye first

Scriptures for Singing

Neue Lieder120
1
Seek ye first the kingdom of God
And His righteousness;
And all these things shall be added unto you.
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelu, hallelujah!
2
Ask, and it shall be given unto you;
Seek, and you shall find.
Knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Hallelu, Hallelujah!
3
Man shall not live by bread alone,
But by every word
That proceeds out from the mouth of God.
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Long know this song in melody and in similar lyrics . Its uplifting effect is incomparable!

Indeed nothing can motivate us like the want of His Kingdom and His Righteousness!

That many in loneliness and helplessness, in complete silence, in dire straits, dare to knock on the door of the JUDGE, time after time time, generation after generation, age after age . HE will hear and take up their cause.

This is a prayer from a widow’s heart. The Lord will avenge, not necessarily speedily, but decisively!

My son and I love this hymn - we are slowly improving singing the rounds together - it is so beautiful in music and words. I even had this sung at my wedding 30 years ago. God bless everyone! ❤️❤️
