My hope is built on nothing less

Jesus Christ is indeed the solid ground. My anchor, my hope, my salvation, and my everything. Thank you Jesus, the rock I lean on.

O Lord Have Mercy

THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

Second Peter 1:1 says, “Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have been allotted faith equally precious as ours in the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. ” This precious faith is allotted to us in the righteousness of God. The Bible speaks of three kinds of righteousness: First, Christ Himself is righteousness, and Jesus Christ becomes our righteousness. When God places us in Christ, Christ becomes our righteousness ( 1 Cor. 1:30 ). Second, there is the righteousness of Jesus Christ Himself. This refers to His walk and deeds while He was on the earth. Romans 5:18 speaks of “one righteous act, ” which is the righteous act of Christ’s death on the cross. God does not reckon Jesus’ righteous act as our righteousness, but He makes Jesus Christ our righteousness; thus, the righteousness of Jesus qualifies Him to be our Savior. Third, there is the righteousness of God. This refers to all of God’s doings being reasonable, legal, and therefore righteous ( 1:17 ; 3:21-26 ). Romans 1:17 For the righteousness of God is revealed in it out of faith to faith, as it is written, “But the righteous shall have life and live by faith. ”

Romans 3:21-26 But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been manifested, witness being borne to it by the Law and the Prophets; Even the righteousness of God through the faith of Jesus Christ to all those who believe, for there is no distinction; For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; Whom God set forth as a propitiation place through faith in His blood, for the demonstrating of His righteousness, in that in His forbearance God passed over the sins that had previously occurred, With a view to the demonstrating of His righteousness in the present time, so that He might be righteous and the One who justifies him who is of the faith of Jesus.
