Create in me a clean heart, O God

I feel am new and feel the presence of God in me. Amen.

I sing this song to myself when I'm struggling with a bad attitude. It helps restore my peace!

I like this version of the psalm. Could you please tell me if the tune is subject to copyright and how I can get permission to use it?

Thanks and God Bless.

I first listen to this hymn from one of our choir members in my local church, I felt so touched in my spirit that I kept singing the song all through that Sunday that I almost lost appetite for food. And it baffles me up till now that whenever I remember and sing the song or someone sing it around me, I can not but see tears flowing down my eyes, especially when it reaches the lines "Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation;

And renew a right spirit within me".

Ephesians 2:8-9

King James Version (KJV)

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Matthew 6:14-15

King James Version (KJV)

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Romans 15:13

King James Version (KJV)

13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Psalm 51, the reason why it was written.

For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.

Psalm 51:10-12

King James Version (KJV)

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

This is from the Book Of Psalms in the Bible

I like this song and I used to sing it because it gives hope and joy for the glory of God.
