1
Create in me a pure heart, O God,
Fully empty my spirit within me;
So pure in heart, I'd see Thee, solely;
Poor in spirit, the kingdom I'd receive.
Fully empty my spirit within me;
So pure in heart, I'd see Thee, solely;
Poor in spirit, the kingdom I'd receive.
Deliver me from all my iniquities;
Take every veil and hindrance from me;
My stone heart replaced, turned, single for Thy face,
I'd behold and reflect Thee gloriously.
Take every veil and hindrance from me;
My stone heart replaced, turned, single for Thy face,
I'd behold and reflect Thee gloriously.
2
Oh, purify my heart, Lord, wholly;
Empty all of my spirit utterly;
So pure in heart, I'd love Thee, supremely;
Poor in spirit, the kingdom I'd receive.
Empty all of my spirit utterly;
So pure in heart, I'd love Thee, supremely;
Poor in spirit, the kingdom I'd receive.
Unload everything from the depth of my being;
Spirit of revelation give me;
How blest to decrease, in spirit fully emptied,
To receive Thy vast riches bountif'lly!
Spirit of revelation give me;
How blest to decrease, in spirit fully emptied,
To receive Thy vast riches bountif'lly!
3
Oh, purify our heart, Lord, wholly;
Empty all of our spirit utterly;
So pure in heart, we'd see You solely;
Poor in spirit, the kingdom we'd receive.
Empty all of our spirit utterly;
So pure in heart, we'd see You solely;
Poor in spirit, the kingdom we'd receive.
Lord, make us that people who'd give You the way
To bring Your kingdom to earth, we pray;
Your name sanctify; fulfill Your will divine;
Quickly come for Your glorious wedding day.
To bring Your kingdom to earth, we pray;
Your name sanctify; fulfill Your will divine;
Quickly come for Your glorious wedding day.
Lord, we'd be that people who'd give You the way
To bring Your kingdom to earth today,
Your name sanctify, fulfill Your will divine,
And hasten Your glorious wedding day.
To bring Your kingdom to earth today,
Your name sanctify, fulfill Your will divine,
And hasten Your glorious wedding day.
