Lovely hymn, was in prayer and my spirit just drifted to this super hymn. I quickly pulled out my Golden bells hymn book but I couldn't read it, so I googled the lyrics and here I am. What a powerful story of love and redemption! God bless.

Indeed sweet is the promise about our Saviour's soon coming to set up His Kingdom:

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Daniel 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

I learnt this song as a primary school pupil in my local dialect - Igbo- in the early 1960s. It had such an impact on me, just knowing that it was for me that Jesus came and died. Tonight, I decided to look up the English version online. oh what joy to know even at 64, that this song, whether sung in my native tongue or in English, has not lost its power. What joy, it will be to sing it at my Saviour' s feet, when I see Him face to face. O how wonderful, my blessed Saviour came seeking for me.
