I come to Thee, dear Lord

Study of the Word Feeding on the Word

English812

I come to Thee, dear Lord,
My heart doth thirst for Thee;
Of Thee I'd eat, of Thee I'd drink.
Enjoy Thee thoroughly.

Just to behold Thy face,
For this my heart doth cry;
I deeply long to drink of Thee
My thirst to satisfy.

Thy glorious, radiant face
My heart delights to see;
Here I'd abide and ne'er depart,
Beholding constantly.

In such a fellowship
Thou, Lord, art grace to me;
My heart and spirit gladdened, filled,
I enter rest in Thee.

Lord, I would linger here,
Still seeking after Thee,
Continue in the Word and prayer
Till Thou dost flow thru me.

God came down on the earth as a courting man...He gives Himself for us, He died on the cross to save us, He was resurrected and became the life-giving Spirit.... to be mingled in our spirit..

Now that He is mingled in our spirit..He wants us to come to Him...to Love Him, to spend time with Him, to drink Him, to feast on Him, to behold His face us our Lover.

I come to Thee dear Lord
My heart doth thirst for Thee,
Of Thee I'd eat, of Thee I'd drink,
Enjoy Thee thoroughly.
Amen Lord, I love You with all my heart.

How sweet to be called to the Lord's presence morning by morning through song

and word and prayer. Lord, increase and deepen Your presence until we are lost

in You.

I was awoken with the words "drink deeply", so I begun a search to find the meaning and it led me to these heart felt songs. Drink deeply the love of Jesus, my friend.

He placed this on my heart as I woke. I was thirsty for Him and longed to see His face. ......Sing with spirit and prayer, and His face you will behold! Thank You Lord.

We need to linger in the presence of the Lord when we come to Him in the morning. We should take time to behold Him. We should not just read through the bible without taking time. We should make time for the Lord to flow through us and supply us for the whole day.

I have two words for this wonderful hymn. MORNING WATCH! Every morning the Lord is just waiting for us "to come to Him" in order for us to 1) enjoy Him by eating and drinking Him 2) to behold Him to satisfy our hearts cry 3) to abide in Him and never depart 4) to have fellowship and rest in Him 5) and to linger there still seeking after Him, continue in the Word and prayer till He flows through us! Praise the Lord!
