Violent riots near my sister's home over an unjust black man's death, pandemic and quarantine for three months, a lonely neighbor whose girlfriend left him without a car, a strong derecho that left me without power and water for three days and left four people dead... In my frustrated prayers and inner turmoil I almost forgot about the package I'd received today. The antique paper rolls for my little organette I'd been waiting for! I pick a random one out of the box and unroll it a bit, and there's the title of the song stamped inside : What a Friend We Have In Jesus.

I'm sorry, Jesus, for being so forgetful of this truth... Thank you for these little reminders that keep me going back to You.

So So Blessed with the lyrics of this Great Hymn. Came at the moment I needed it so badly. At his feet I have laid it all. I struggle by the Arms of flesh for too long. Thinking I could solve them by myself. But over to you Lord. I turn it over.
