Going through this hymn, I realized it has far deeper meaning. For me surrendering means accepting I am not in control but Jesus is. Trusting him completely and letting go of all my burdens, fears, health & financial issues, and the future. It's truly in accordance with Matthew 11:28, "Come to me all you who are weary ......"
