Teach me Thy way, O Lord

I Learnt this as a child in school and it has always been with me. Praise God....

I am experiencing perhaps what Jacob experienced when he wrestled that lonely night. And the Holy Spirit brings to me the words of this song... Teach me thy way oh Lord

Fifty-four years ago, my husband and I included this beautiful hymn in our wedding. It's been our prayer throughout the years, and God is still teaching us his ways.

I first learned this hymn in Hungarian when I was about 7. After more than 55 years, it remains one of my favorites. I am familiar with 8 verses and each one gives me so much comfort.

"Szívemet hozzád emelem,
És benned bízom, Uram;
És meg nem szégyeníttetem,
Nem nevet senki rajtam,
Mert szégyent nem vallanak,
Akik hozzád esedeznek,
Azok pironkodjanak,
Akik hitetlenül élnek."

Along with other contributors I learned this at St Gabriel's Church camp. It is also my "going home" hymn when the crown is won.

Love this old hymn from many years ago. It's truth still the same today. Thank you Holy Spirit for bringing to remembrance

Came to me this morning when things of the environment got to me. Help me to walk aright, more by faith, less by sight. Lead me with heavenly light.

One line of this hymn came to me in my waking moments, after a disappointing evening of wrestling with my still present selfish tendencies. Finally, the hymn title came. The words were my hearts cry. Thank you for this ministry to the body of Christ.. today to me!

I was in prayer when this lovely song/hymn came to mind. Resonates so well with my prayer at this time.."Teach me the way". Am so thankful the LORD gave us this hymn... may it minister to Many, many Others, as it has done in the past... Praise the LORD!! Amen.. be blessed!
