O to be like Thee

I once felt like Christ but now am as worldly as the sinners I once preached to😔. Lord I still desire to be like you. holy and perfect

God reminded me of this song while I was meditating on 1 John 3:2-3💜🙏

Oh to be like Jesus is my burning heart desire. I love the Lord with all my heart. I pray for grace to be like Jesus every day. I want men to see and hear Jesus through my lifestyle. Oh Lord help me.

Yes it's our heart's desire. 🌹♥️

Lord oh to be like thee.. daily , take my heart and make it thy aboard 🙌

Wow what a soul a lifting song pleas Lord Jesus Christ ignite the fire of your love in my heart

Oh make us like thee Lord

This hymn has been with me for almost 40 years now, almost back to the very outset of my journey with Jesus.

This hymn is my heart’s cry.

For years all I could remember of it was “Stamp thine own image deep on my heart”. Oh the joy of finding it here in entirety!!!!!!

Thank You Precious Lord!!!!

Love to all!

It is a song, I constantly come back to

To be like Jesus is the destiny that God created us for- created in His image and likeness

We lost it at the garden of Eden

But Jesus came to restore that image and likeness of God

But unlike in the beginning where Adam was full grown image of God

When we believe on the Lord Jesus and His works on the cross

We terminate the image of the flesh that we carried since birth

And
The life of God enters into us but
AS A SEED

it is this seed that we must nurture through the Word and Holy Spirit so that it would grow like a Baby grows into maturity of the likeness of its parents

The truth is we have been restored into that this mage

We allow this to grow, by surrendering to the Word of God and yielding to the Holy Spirit daily

This is my daily prayer this is the cry if my heart..... To be more like Jesus. It's so very difficult but I keep praying
