I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
And be closer drawn to Thee.
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow'r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
By the pow'r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow'r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
By the pow'r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

O the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!
O the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!

There are depths of love that I yet may know
Ere Thee face to face I see;
There are heights of joy that I yet may reach
Ere I rest in peace with Thee.
Ere Thee face to face I see;
There are heights of joy that I yet may reach
Ere I rest in peace with Thee.
There are depths of love that I yet may know
Ere Thee face to face I see;
There are heights of joy that I yet may reach
Ere I rest in peace with Thee.
Ere Thee face to face I see;
There are heights of joy that I yet may reach
Ere I rest in peace with Thee.

My heart's cry. Nearness to God is our privilege, my privilege. He initiates, and only he who accepts the invite will know salvation as it was designed to be known. Yet our flesh, my flesh at times resists, retreats, hides, and these are the lowest times. In God's near presence, there is indeed fullness of joy. All else fades into its rightful smallness. Call me near, my Father; keep me near, I pray.

The Holy spirit inspired me with this hymn just this morning (5. 09am) while I was going about my morning chores. THANK YOU JESUS... There is this joy from the inside of me.

I am blessed by the 4th Stanza
Because I know earthly joy is fleeting as true joy comes from resting in God.

Oh yes, Lord... in the midst that all that is going on in the world, the church, and life, draw me nearer yet to You, blessed Lord.

I am so so hungry for God, my soul longs for Him as in a dry and weary land. Especially as I enter this new year 2018 that He is about to honour me with; I pray He draw me nearer to Himself every moment of my life.
