Thou my everlasting Portion

God helps to see at last and gives us the grace to following You Lord.

I shade tear any time I sing this song, it reminds me of my unworthiness to live but His grace kept me despite the shortcomings.

This song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear or sing it. My favorite verse, "Gladly will I toil and suffer, Only let me walk with Thee."

Nice hymn but I always feel sad with the words of the first stanza of the hymn. I like the tune.

Oh how gracious! Jesus is not the means to our goals, He is our goal... All that we live for... The focus of our lives... He is our portion! Praise God!

Glory to the name of God, had an encounter this morning with the Holy Ghost. Then I got to see this hymn the afternoon. I'm learning by heart the wordings and the encouragement to keep going with Christ. God bless you

My favorite song.... singing now....

I've been praying in tongue mysteriously nonstop almost since last night and this later part of the evening today comes this song stuck even now in my spirit and thought came to my mind to google it up and now here I am.

Isn't God good? I suppose a battle is won and a chain or chaines are broken and barriers are down flat before me.

Powerfully reminds me to make Jesus my portion. Daily let me walk close to Thee. Through all that I encounter only may I be close to You Jesus Father God Holy Spirit.

Close to Thee... this hymn should be the yearning of every Christian. It express I desire of a true child of God.
