I need Thee every hour

Longings For Fellowship with Christ

English371

1

I need Thee every hour,
Most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like Thine
Can peace afford.

I need Thee, oh, I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee;
Oh, bless me now, my Savior!
I come to Thee.

2

I need Thee every hour,
Stay Thou near by;
Temptations lose their power
When Thou art nigh.

3

I need Thee every hour,
In joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide,
Or life is vain.

4

I need Thee every hour,
Teach me Thy will;
And Thy rich promises
In me fulfill.

5

I need Thee every hour,
Most Holy One;
Oh, make me Thine indeed,
Thou blessed Son.

My prayer in time of need and Joy. Ceremonies at lodge meetings is reinvigorated at the intonation of this hymn. May God be praised.

There is indeed no tender voice like the Lord. I love Him. We need to hear His voice. Help us Lord to study Your word.

Blessed be the Lord for this soul lifting lyrics I keep encountering on this web page. Hymns have a way of drawing one's spirit and soul to God's gracious throne, this particular hymn is nothing but a prayer song when all hope seems lost. I need Thee every hour,

Stay Thou near by;
Temptations lose their power
When Thou art nigh. Halleluyah to Jesus.

John 15:5

Indeed Lord, apart from You we can do nothing. Please Lord, bring all to this realization that we need You every hour because we do not know our hour.
