His Name is Wonderful

This song is written using the verse in Isaiah 9:6 and the writer’s intimate, sweet and personal enjoyment of the wonderful name of such a wonderful Person, Jesus our Lord!

Isaiah 9:6
For a child is born to us,
A Son is given to us;
And the government is upon His shoulder;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Eternal Father,
Prince of Peace.

His name is wonderful!

They are both correct as they are two different songs ; )

I remember it like this: (thanks for your version too)
His Name is Wonderful;
His Name is Wonderful;
His Name is Wonderful;
Jesus my Lord.
He is the Mighty King;
Master of Everything;
His Name is Wonderful;
Jesus my Lord.
He's the great Master;
Rock of all ages;
Almighty God is He.
His Name is Wonderful;
His Name is Wonderful;
His Name is Wonderful;
Jesus My Lord.

@Carl: That's how I remember it. I thought it didn't look right. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Carl - this is the way I learned this song.

Thank you for posting the original lyrics, Carl. Very much appreciated.

Sharing the the original lyrics from Audrey Mieir:

His Name is Wonderful,
His Name is Wonderful,
His Name is Wonderful,
Jesus my Lord.

He is the mighty King,
Master of everything,
His Name is Wonderful,
Jesus my Lord.

He's the Great Shepherd,
The Rock of all Ages,
Almighty God is He,
Bow down before Him,
Love and adore Him,
His Name is Wonderful,
Jesus my Lord.
