Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night

Gospel Coming to the Lord

English1050

1

Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night,
Jesus, I come! Jesus, I come!
Into Thy freedom, gladness, and light,
Jesus, I come to Thee!
Out of my sickness into Thy health,
Out of my want and into Thy wealth,
Out of my sin and into Thyself,
Jesus, I come to Thee!

2

Out of my shameful failure and loss,
Jesus, I come! Jesus, I come!
Into the glorious gain of Thy cross,
Jesus, I come to Thee!
Out of earth's sorrows into Thy balm,
Out of life's storm and into Thy calm,
Out of distress to jubilant psalm,
Jesus, I come to Thee!

3

Out of unrest and arrogant pride,
Jesus, I come! Jesus, I come!
Into Thy blessed will to abide,
Jesus, I come to Thee!
Out of myself to dwell in Thy love,
Out of despair into raptures above,
Upward for aye on wings like a dove,
Jesus, I come to Thee!

4

Out of the fear and dread of the tomb,
Jesus, I come! Jesus, I come!
Into the joy and pleasure, Thine own,
Jesus, I come to Thee!
Out of the depths of ruin untold,
Into the flock Thy love doth enfold,
Ever Thy glorious face to behold,
Jesus, I come to Thee!

This song has touched me so much in the deepest parts of my life. Jesus thank you for loving me even in my brokenness and arrogant pride and sin. To you I owe it all. Ever thy glorious face to behold- here and for ever.

Running from self into Christ is the escape that guarantees fulfilment in life on earth and eternity. Everyone should know the liberty in Christ Jesus!

A lovely and instructive hymn on the redemptive power of our Lord. Our Lord understands our deepest fears and limitations and wants to give us rest from the noise out there. Glory be to God.

Praise You Lord that I can get OUT OF so many of these negative things INTO Your very self! Jesus I come!

Lord Jesus, out of my shameful failure and loss, I come to thee. Out of distress to jubilant Psalm, receive me this morning.

Jesus brings us out of ruin untold ever his glorious face to behold! Here are His joy and pleasures, here we're abiding in His will, here in the flock His love enfolds. Thank you Lord Jesus
