God be with you till we meet again

1
God be with you till we meet again;
By His counsels guide, uphold you,
With His sheep in love enfold you;
God be with you till we meet again.
  Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
  God be with you till we meet again.
2
God be with you till we meet again!
’Neath His wings protecting hide you,
Daily manna still provide you;
God be with you till we meet again!
3
God be with you till we meet again!
When life’s perils thick confound you,
Put His arms unfailing round you;
God be with you till we meet again!
4
God be with you till we meet again!
Keep love’s banner floating o’er you,
Smite death’s threatening wave before you;
God be with you till we meet again!

Really touching. I was feeling sad and weary when I came accros this song on you tube. I was a video staged by the Tabernacle Choir. I was moved and comforted even though I cried as I repeatedly watched and listened. Three days later my former school principal lost her mom. I couldn't travel for the burial because of the current armed conflict in my country Cameron. So I shared the link to her inbox. She felt so sorrowful. She said she too cannot travel to the village for the burial because of the insecurity. But promised to listen to the song all day long and feel she was telling her mom that God will be with her till they meet again...

This song has always been on my lips

One of the most passionate and emotional hymns of all time.

I felt the power of this hymn, when my late grandmother’s best friend, sang it in her late husband’s funeral.
