I have just spent 12 dreary days and weary nights racked with pain for which there was minimal relief. When the Spirit prompted me to search for this song, I found this site and all these encouraging affirmations of God's love from around the world. They have truly comforted and rested my soul. I am starting to improve, physically and emotionally.

A year ago, when on her death bed in hospital, surrounded by family and members of our church, my mom requested that we sing this song together. Today as I sing this song and read the words I am truly touched and reassured.

Our family lost my brother 9 months ago. He was only 28. This is a hymn that God has brought to my mind twice, since his passing. The first time, it was only days after the tragedy & my focus was the last verse. It was a comforting reminder that He cares when we lose those dearest to us.
Today, when He brought this hymn to my mind, my focus was on the 3rd verse. Wow! He cares --still, even when I fail Him. What a good, loving Father we have!
