I found this song at a time I was losing it. Hope was slipping away, faith was weak and I was despondent, lonely and weary! This song lifts my spirit...it's comforting to be reassured that Jesus cares at such a time!

I became to learn this hymn when our pastor gave sermon last Sunday. Before one lady's husband who was faithful to the Lord in our church and had been sick for several years went to the Lord's presence she sang this hymn holding his hand. 'Our Savior is good shepherd.' He knows our hearts. He gives us eternal life. At the evening service we sang together thinking of him in the presence of the Lord.
