This song speaks to ME. However, I have an aquaintance who would refuse to have his congregation sing this wonderful hymn. He is stuck on the refrain "Trust and Obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus...". Are there other ways to be happy in Jesus...I mean to be truly happy in Jesus. Isn't Obedience better than sacrifice, and did He not tell us to Go!!

My dad said this was his mom's favorite song. She sang it over and over during WWII to help her trust God to be with her sons serving their country (USA). I have always loved it and the Lord brings it to me whenever I need Him the most. Yes, God bless those men and women of God who wrote these wonderful old hymns!

I love this inspiring song. My best part is verse 4. That we never can prove the delight of His of love until all on the altar we lay. Until we offer ourselves as living sacrifice that is holy and acceptable that is when we get to know the extent of His boundless love. Halleluyah.
