The water in the word

The water in the word, the water in the word,
Washing by the water, the water in the word,
That He might sanctify her, cleansing her,
Cleansing by the washing of the water in the word.
(Repeat)

Husbands, love your wives
Even as Christ loved the church
And gave Himself up for her,
Gave Himself up for her.

The water in the word, the water in the word,
Washing by the water, the water in the word,
That He might sanctify her, cleansing her,
Cleansing by the washing of the water in the word,
(Repeat)

That He might present
The church to Himself glorious,
Not having spot or wrinkle
Or any such things, any such things.

The water in the word, the water in the word,
Washing by the water, the water in the word,
That He might sanctify her, cleansing her,
Cleansing by the washing of the water in the word.

The church is being beautified through the process of sanctification by Christ as the life-giving spirit cleansing us by the washing of the water in His word (Ephesians 5:26-27). Ephesians 5:26 says, “ He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of the water in the word. ” … as the life-giving Spirit, Christ is the speaking Spirit; whatever he speaks is the word that washes us; this does not refer to logos, the constant word, but to rhema, which denotes an instant word, the word that the Lord presently speaks to us. We love the Bible, which is the logos, denoting the written word. We cannot get the rhema apart from the logos. We have to convert the logos, the written word, into the rhema, which denotes the Lord‘s personal, intimate, fresh, and up-to-date, speaking to us. We need to pray read the word in order to convert this logos into rhema. (From message 4, memorial Day conference 2025, the preparation of the bride, E. M. ) See also the footnotes, recovery version, in Matthew chapter 4 regarding the devil‘s tempting of the Lord.
