Reigning in Life

Nouveaux chants515

The heavenly vision
Concerning the function
Of God’s chosen people on earth today
Controls and directs us,
Restricts and perfects us
To minister Christ and close this age!

Reigning in life:
Being ruled by the Spirit,
Restricted and limited;
Reigning in life:
To bring in God’s kingdom
And realize the kingdom life.

A time of confinement
To seek the experience
In being alone with our Lord today
And speak forth with boldness
The dreams of our Father,
Discipling the nations to close this age!

Composed during the 2015 European Young People's Conference in Poland.

This song connects Romans 5 (verses 17, 21 in particular) with Joseph’s experiences, who was a full type of Christ. Christ when He was on earth in the flesh reigned in life in His human living, overcoming sin, death, Satan and the world. As the Spirit He is now grace to us for us to receive so that we with Him might live such a life on the earth today. Praise Him!

Oh Lord Jesus! We love You! Reigning in life is our goal, being ruled and sealed by the Holy Spirit. To take You as our person is limited and restricted but this is the way to reign in life! Hallelujah! Cause us to seek more of Your beauty and experience more of being alone with You today and everyday so we can be fully saturated by Your divine being, be holy and without blemish in love. May we always take You as our person each day so we can truly reign in life, be an overcomer to bring in God's kingdom and fully realize the kingdom life.
