Lord, You promised Your return.
Make us virgins who are wise.
Spread in all our being
That we could be prepared
For Your coming.

This song has been coming up in my heart recently after recalling a message I once heard. A brother ministered concerning the Lords coming as the bridegroom for His wife. He said, that the Lord will be faithful as He is preparing the bride to burn away all that provokes His jealousy. The result will be a pure bride, a chaste virgin. He referred to some verses in the Old Testament and New Testament where this jealousy is described, even as a flashing fire, like the electrum burning in the fiery cloud seen by Ezekiel. This is how great His love is for His bride — it is cruel as Sheol and strong as death.
San Juan Siquijor, Siquijor
We must enjoy the Lord by Singing... and pray his word... as our bread of life...
