Tell Him

NS1128
1
I’ve learned the secret of doing all things
In the Christ who’s my pow’r.
The Lord our Husband, Head, and our dear King,
Longs to listen each hour.
In the fellowship sweet,
Speaking genuinely,
I pour my heart out on Jesus,
Yet more intimately.

He listens! He hears!
Our Love and our Friend.
So tell Him! Oh, tell Him!
He’ll listen again.
2
Tell Him in sorrow, in your depression.
Speak to Him from the heart.
All disappointments, e’en your frustrations,
Let Him bear every part.
Every worry and woe,
All the tears as they flow,
He then collects in His bottle,
And He treasures them so.
3
Tell Him your sins and preoccupations;
Not a thing you can’t say.
Speak when in darkness, troubled and anxious,
Don’t withhold one complaint.
As we vent and we cry,
He draws near to our side.
He’s never judging but caring
For all things we confide.
4
Tell Him your joys and all your elations.
He’ll rejoice with you there.
Any event and all situations,
He is longing to share.
He makes all pure in Him,
Just invite Jesus in.
And jealously keep His presence,
What a treasure within!
5
I’ve handed over my ev’ry burden
To the Savior to bear.
Every confusion, all consternation,
Now He owns and He’ll share.
Now His myst’ry I see,
God is mingling with me.
And every op’ning He’s using
To dispense faithfully.

Oh praise Him, He hears!
My Love and my Friend.
I’ll tell Him and tell Him
Till this age shall end.
