Notice how the writer equates giving more or doing more for the Savior to serving his fellow man. He recognizes do this is beyond himself and requires the enabling of Jesus in His heart. By His life, in our spirit, we can do more than we are able to do.
To really serve God we need the overflow of life (love) to care for our fellow man. Remember the word does not say only love our brothers but that we must love our neighbor. (Matthew 22:39). This is a heart only the Lord can give us.

God doesn’t ask us to do big things for Him. He asks that we do all we can with what we have. Thank You, Lord Jesus! You are the indwelling Spirit!
