I’ve seen the lightning flashing

1
I’ve seen the lightning flashing,
  And heard the thunder roll;
I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing,
  Trying to conquer my soul;
I’ve heard the voice of Jesus,
  Telling me still to fight on;
He promised never to leave me,
  Never to leave me alone.
  No, never alone,
  No, never alone,
He promised never to leave me,
  Never to leave me alone;
No, never alone,
  No, never alone,
He promised never to leave me,
    Never to leave me alone.
2
The world’s fierce winds are blowing,
  Temptations are sharp and keen;
I feel a peace in knowing
  My Savior stands between;
He stands to shield me from danger,
  When earthly friends are gone,
He promised never to leave me,
  Never to leave me alone.
3
When in affliction’s valley,
  I’m treading the road of care,
My Savior helps me to carry
  My cross when heavy to bear;
My feet entangled with briars,
  Ready to cast me down;
My Savior whispered His promise,
  Never to leave me alone.
4
He died for me on the mountain,
  For me they pierced His side,
For me He opened that fountain,
  The crimson, cleansing tide;
For me He waiteth in glory,
  Seated upon His throne;
He promised never to leave me,
  Never to leave me alone.

This is a very old hymn, we use to sing it in the church I belonged to when I was very young. This morning while I was doing my devotion and came to mind so I decided to google it and sure enough I got the lyrics. What a blessing jus what I needed, so grateful. Blessings

As I sit here in my favorite meeting place, I have found myself in a very low place. I believe there is a spiritual attack on my soul. I know the enemy desires to sift me like wheat, BUT my God has lifted up a standard against him. This hymn flooded my mind. As I looked up the lyrics and began to recite them I felt such peace. I have peace that He has sent to me through this powerful hymn. God's Word tells up to lift up psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. His Word always does what He sends it to do. I soooooo much thank the author for this powerful hymn!!!

First Time I heard this song in 'May 2020' by pastor Johnson (Bethel AG church) during his daily online worship. It's really heart ❤️ touching. Especially during this Covid-19 lockdown, it gives lot of hope. Praise be to God almighty.

I was asked to go to New York to assist my counsing, her husband and their three children. I was just 17 and new limited English. Three months later my counsin and her family decided to return to Puerto Rico, but I decided to stay. When the family left I felt sad and very lonely. However, shortly after I was singing in a Church Male Quartet and everything changed for me. I love the singing and nothing else mattered. As I remember everything I started working on and nothing seemed to disappoint me. This SONG I heard within the past few months and I have not stopped singing it and playing in in my piano. The song confirms it ALL for me, yes, Jesus promised NEVER to leave me. I graduated from High School, graduated from California State University, then continued to obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work at UCLA. I've been retired for over 14 years and worked at an Executive Position in Los Angeles. Though because I was diagnosed with tongue cancer and could not complete my Ph. D. I can convincingly say He did promised never to leave me. Trully Jesus will NEVER leave you and will lead you in what you may want to do.

Yes He is a friend that sticketh closer then a brother. Prov 18:24. A present help in time of need. Woke up early this morning. This song came to me. And also how could God love anymore. He has no more love to give. He gave it all in Jesus so that you and I could live. I’m so glad He paid the price gave His Son a sacrifice. He loved so much how can we live any less.

I’m so glad one day I turned away from my sins and God forgave me and has kept me through the power on the cross that Jesus died for us to have. I’m glad I died to myself and paid the cost and am still wanting to pay it. He truly changed my divided heart one day. Now it’s centered on Him and His will. Only through His grace and mercy and goodness did He do that for me. This is an abundant life. All we have to do is carry our crosses and cares to Him. Trust Him for He knows what is best. I can say ABBA Father. Thy will be done. In earth as it is in heaven. In my earth and vessel.
