O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?

And life more abundant and free.

Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
O’er us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conqu’rors we are!
Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
O’er us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conqu’rors we are!

His Word shall not fail you, He promised;
Believe Him and all will be well;
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!
His Word shall not fail you, He promised;
Believe Him and all will be well;
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

This song came to my mind after reading the news and hearing all of the negative talk after the election. I was reading my devotion and it just popped into my mind. It is very soothing to thing of looking into Jesus' face.

Tonight is (post) election night and it did not turn out the way I had hoped. this song came to mind as a reminder. I love the hymns...so solid!

This song holds so many memories of Sunday night service where this was a favorite chorus. The words are so true and encourage me to let go of worldly concerns and look only at His wonderful face. In Him I find peace.

Like Angie Lim in Manila NCR Philipines, I only learned the chorus. I don't find the verses so easy to learn. What a beautiful, comforting chorus!

Brings tears to my eyes just thinking of how much my eyes need to be focused on Jesus and not on the things of this world....If only we could see through Jesus' eyes!!!

The words are just sooo powerful. Love You Lord!

Sang this in Sunday School and Youth Group. I did not understand it then but when life's great challenges confront me, it came back suddenly. We must keep our eyes on Jesus to live this life. Otherwise, we will be like Peter, distracted by the angry waves while walking on water towards Jesus. Keep your eyes upon Jesus. Faith will follow!

How soothing is the music and how reassuring are the words of this hymn. Indeed as we gaze on Jesus we look away from our predicament and draw strength from Him, so that we can hear Him say as He said to Paul: "My grace is sufficient for you..." 2 Cor. 12:9. Thank God for His faithfulness and lovingkindness and for the author and composer of this hymn.

Praise God in times of uncertainties one thing is certain that God is there. "Be still and know that I am God..." Praise His holy name, "I AM". God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the blessed One, eternal, changeless God, always, "...a very help in times of trouble."
