With a second wave of Covoid 19 sweeping through Europe & USA at this time October/ November 2020 the hymn Jesus Lives is so wonderful to know & hear and to lift troubled hearts & minds. Stay strong in this knowledge.
I woke up singing this hymn on Thursday morning, I kept wondering why singing such song only for me to receive a call from my pastor's wife that the man of God has translated to a great beyond.
I know and I'm sure you're resting in the bossom of the Lord, PST Bamidele, rest on till we meet to part no more.
This hymn has been on my lips since yesterday, throuout the Easter service. Been humming it right from inside the church, maybe because I put all the stanzas on my Facebook update whilst riding to church!
Now as I knelt down to observe my routine midnight prayers a while ago, no other opening song came to mind than this! Jeusu lives! Wow!
As I sang through the five stanzas, I was glad to realize that all the troubles and vicissitudes of mankind have been trounced by the reason of Christ' victory over death and hell! Hallelujah!
Coming at a time I'm as it were on life's crossroad, uncertain about my next decision and move, it's reassuring to know that I've already conquered my behomothic fears in advance through the resurrection power of Jesus Christ!
