I stand amazed in the presence

1
I stand amazed in the presence
  Of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me,
  A sinner condemned, unclean.
  How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!
2
For me it was in the garden,
He prayed: “Not my will, but Thine.”
He had no tears for His own griefs,
But sweat-drops of blood for mine.
3
In pity angels beheld Him,
And came from the world of light
To strengthen Him in the sorrows
He bore for my soul that night.
4
He took my sins and my sorrows,
  He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calv’ry,
  And suffered, and died alone.
5
When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
’Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

I felt this burden of heart being far off from my creator and then this song resonated in my heart.

Thank you Jesus

I love the verse, for me it was in the garden, he prayed not my will but thine. He had no tears for his own grief, but sweat drops of blood for mine. That breaks me into tears. How wonderful that the body all around the world will see the richness of our saviour. We cannot contain it but he did it. Mighty wonderful God our saviour.

Yes, Gary! Amen to your comment. This site is such a blessing to me as well. This hymn helped me to praise the Lord this morning. It's wonderful to know of my brothers and sisters all over the world. ,.... and to pray for them.

I read a hymn each day from this site for my morning devotions. I love reading the comments. I love that we are worshiping together through the songs ever though we are separated by time and distance. The body of Christ is universal and unending. One day soon we will all be together before the throne. Let the party begin. Come Lord Jesus.
