向著國度路程的奔跑，最怕的就是疲倦灰心。『疲倦灰心，』可譯作『魂裏疲倦沮喪』。魂是人情感、心思、意志的機關。魂裏疲倦沮喪，意思就是魂沒有力量。意志痿痺了，感覺冷淡了，思想沒有興趣了，甚麼好像都是空的，甚麼都聽其自然，『將來冠冕聽命運！』在這個奔跑裏，最大的試探，就是當反對的事物蝟集的時候，好像招架不住了，便放鬆了一切，不再認真的奔跑，去得天上的冠冕。
但願我們都作賽跑的人。但願我們都奔跑一直到路終。就是在我們奔跑的時候，受了傷，受了人的頂撞，受了人的誤會，受了人的厭棄，我們還應當因著主耶穌的緣故，打起精神，不疲倦的依然往前奔去。在賽跑中，有誰最得人的稱讚呢？就是那受了傷，起來再跑，結果得了第一的人，這人必使人稱讚不已。所以，受傷不成問題，受苦不成問題，就是好像要失敗了也不成問題，跌倒了再起來跑，仍是最好的。弟兄姊妹們，今天我們都在路上，甚麼都算不得數，到了路終纔有定評，我們不必因任何的緣故而自暴自棄，而疲倦灰心。我們要仰望為我們信心創始成終的耶穌，奔那擺在我們前頭的路程！
