Emmanuel, Emmanuel

This song came to my mind today. Its one that was around in the days of the 1970's expression of praise and thanksgiving.

May I respond to a comment made by Pam in Dec 2019. The lyrics as they stand are intentional as they refer to the scriptures and the ancient prophesy, one of many, concerning the birth of Messiah, Jesus Christ. Emmanuel in the Jewish language this is ' Immanu EL' translated as 'God is with us ' The Name is referred to in Matthew's gospel 1 : 23.

Thank you. We are playing this at Church for Christmas Worship. I Coudn't find it anywhere else.

Beautiful!

The Lord Jesus is with us and is revealed in us we should praise him!!

Thank you Lord

Thank you so much for posting this song

The original words say... God with us, revealed in us

Didn't the original words of this hymn state as follows:

"God with us, revealed in Jesus Christ", instead of :

God with us, revealed in us?

Thanks for anyone who remembers it that way speaking up.

Thank you for posting these lyrics. I have woke up two mornings in a row with the music going thru my head but couldn’t find the words. Now I have them to go with the tune in my mind. Thanks.

Immanuel, Emmanuel.
