Draw me, dear Lord, with Your beauty

NS128
1
Draw me, dear Lord, with Your beauty,
Capture my heart till earth fades away.
I need Your love to attract me
So I can love You more today.
2
Empty me, Lord, how I need You!
Unclog my mind, emotion, and will.
All that I have, I abandon
So all my heart, Your life can fill.
3
Oh fill me now with Your life, Lord,
Flood my whole being with rivers divine.
I open wide; what enjoyment!
To live Your life, dear Lord, as mine.

"Before we pray that God would fill us, I believe we ought to that God would empty us. There must be an emptying before there can be a filling; and when the heart I'd turned upside down, and everything that is contrary to God is turned out, then the Spirit will come."

I appreciate, that even in this hymn, we see that we must be emptied before he Lord's life can fill us. Amen! Empty me, Lord, how I need you!

OLJ, I'm open. Fill me now with Yourself. More of Jesus, more of Your working into me & less of me. I'm heading for the NJ, where there is no need of the sun nor the moon, for the effulgence of the processed Triune God outshines the sun! Hallelujah. What a shining! Oh, to be so transparent!

Amen! This song has become my experience and prayer in the last few days. I especially enjoy stanza two. We need to be emptied of our own will and mind and emotion, that we may be filled with Christ! Only then can we live Christ out in our daily living.

I appreciate this song because it points out the need for us to be drawn by the Lord's beauty in order for our love for the world and the things of this world to fade away. We need to be those captured by a vision of our precious Lord, that we would be those "living His life as ours". :)

It's an awesome lyric that help me a lots even in the midst of my boring work. Just to open my mouth and singing this song or i make it as my daily prayer. It's great feeling behind and feel refreshing. It's always my longing every hour that HE draw me and capture my heart and fill me with HIS Life to overcome the environment.
