1
Appear to me, dear Lord,
Appear to me.
I need Thee desperately
To appear to me.
Come Lord as light divine
Into my heart to shine
Till I am wholly Thine.
Appear to me.
Appear to me.
I need Thee desperately
To appear to me.
Come Lord as light divine
Into my heart to shine
Till I am wholly Thine.
Appear to me.
2
O God of Glory, now
Appear to me;
Just as with Abraham,
Shine repeatedly.
Come, Lord, expose with light
What idols I hold tight.
Be more my heart’s delight;
Appear to me.
Appear to me;
Just as with Abraham,
Shine repeatedly.
Come, Lord, expose with light
What idols I hold tight.
Be more my heart’s delight;
Appear to me.
3
When, Lord, I drag my feet,
Appear to me.
When things with Thee compete,
Lord, appear to me.
Light from Thy glorious face
Infuses me with grace
That I may run the race.
Appear to me.
Appear to me.
When things with Thee compete,
Lord, appear to me.
Light from Thy glorious face
Infuses me with grace
That I may run the race.
Appear to me.
4
Lord, as each day goes by,
Appear to me
Till face to face, so nigh,
I shall always be,
Looking away to Thee,
With eyes so lovingly,
For all eternity;
Appear to me.
Appear to me
Till face to face, so nigh,
I shall always be,
Looking away to Thee,
With eyes so lovingly,
For all eternity;
Appear to me.
