Fore'er victorious cross!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
All foes meet total loss!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
O'er Hades' fierceness hurled,
O'er hateful, churning world,
O'er flesh's powers unfurled—
Boast triumphant in the cross!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
All foes meet total loss!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
O'er Hades' fierceness hurled,
O'er hateful, churning world,
O'er flesh's powers unfurled—
Boast triumphant in the cross!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
E'er victorious is His cross!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Boast triumphant in the cross!
E'er victorious is His cross!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Boast triumphant in the cross!

The cross is life to me.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
It grants authority.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Self, feelings, rise in vain;
Earth's powers can't remain;
All enemies are slain!
Overcoming by the cross!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
It grants authority.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Self, feelings, rise in vain;
Earth's powers can't remain;
All enemies are slain!
Overcoming by the cross!

This banner, joyfully—
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
I'll raise eternally—
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
My weakness turns to might,
Depression to delight,
Dark gloom to glory bright—
Liberated by the cross!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
I'll raise eternally—
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
My weakness turns to might,
Depression to delight,
Dark gloom to glory bright—
Liberated by the cross!
