What a Friend we have in Jesus

This song renews me everytime I sing it. It is really a privilege to us as Christians to cast our burdens to Jesus in prayer.

So refreshing; the song reminds me to take everything to God in prayer. Jesus a sure friend to lean on.

I’m singing this hymn this morning thinking about how the Lord Jesus knows our every weakness. That line, “Jesus knows our every weakness”, touches me at the core of my being. So often we experience these times of weakness in ourselves. But singing the words in verse 2, we remember Jesus, our sympathizing High Priest, who now prayers for us at the right hand of the Father. It’s so encouraging to realize that Jesus knows our every weakness. The thought of it brings great encouragement to me as I bow before him in prayer and receive his strength. His promises never fail. He truly is faithful!!

Singing this for my grandmother today for her birthday. It's her favorite. :)

Yes what a privilege we can take EVERYTHING to the CREATOR. So often we try and fail to sort things out ourselves rather than making HIM our first port of call. HE will never leave us or forsake us. HIS steadfast love endures forever. AMEN and AMEN

There is actually no faithful friend like Jesus. He is my blessed assurance against all obstacles. I am indeed blessed because of it. Praise be to his holy name.
