What a Friend we have in Jesus

English789

What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He'll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

One of my favorite hymns.

He is my refuge. My shield, my guard. My Lord. My king, my high priest, after the order of melchedizek. In whom I put my trust.

Jesus calls us to cast our burdens unto him

If he is able to lay down his precious life for us, what else can he not do

In him we move and have our being

This was played to close my mother's funeral service in August 2020. It is a beautiful old hymn. When in trouble, take it to the Lord in prayer. 🙏

Great song of hope in this Easter week. Indeed, what a friend we have in Jesus.

“Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD! ’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest! ” Luke 19:38 NKJV.

Reminded me of the Hymn No Not One He is our Precious Friend and our Saviour if we are HIS child by believing by grace Eph 2:8-10, we are accepted in the Beloved! And even we sin our Father does not look upon us in anger because He looks at us through Christ and He sees no sin! So lift up these songs of praise for our Saviour truly our Friend that stickers closer than a brother!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🥰
