What a Friend we have in Jesus

English789

What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He'll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

Jesus is a friend who bear our sins and griefs. I love Him more than ever. He has healed our daughter from a dreadful disease, lupus.

Jesus is a friend in deed. He will never fail us. Let's just trust Him more and more. O Lord Jesus thank you. I don't know where I would be without you.

This song is really inspirational to my soul. We have no other friend than Jesus who we can cast all our burden on. GOD bless the composer of this song.

Such a comfort. I will be sharing this with our community group tomorrow. Plays well with chapter 12 in the book Gentle and Lowly

Memorized this song up-head and love singing it all the time because the wordings are meaningful and prayerfully powerful.
