Lord, You Have Come to Me

1
One morning, Lord, You went to meet with Peter by the sea;
One noon, beside the way, for Saul You waited patiently.
Now suddenly this day, into my life, You've come to me.
You've come as brightest light, so bright I cannot but receive;
I truly can't explain; each day I doubt, each day believe.
I truly can't explain; each day I doubt, each day believe.
2
Sometimes, in pastures green, the Shepherd's tender voice I hear;
Sometimes, in valleys deep, from His wise guidance briefly veer;
Sometimes, upon the sea, my loving Lord asleep appears;
Adventure and surprise at every step along the way;
I've never seen His face; hazy, yet clearer every day.
I've never seen His face; hazy, yet clearer every day.
3
Each day, not as I will, so many challenges I see;
I need not easy life, self-pity, friends, or sympathy;
All power, living bread, and living water, He supplies;
From darkness into light, He's transformed many people's lives;
His power covers me; turns fear to boldness day by day.
His power covers me; turns fear to boldness day by day.
4
What contradictions fill the lives of all those who love You;
To men we seem unknown, yet really we are well-known too;
As dying, we rejoice in resurrection life anew;
In self we suffer pain; yet boundless wealth we find in You.
The treasure in this clay turns shame to glory day by day.
The treasure in this clay turns shame to glory day by day.
5
I'll never know just why the best was giv'n to such as I;
I live You, by Your life, as man, by nature all divine;
Each day new romance springs; So wonderful, I cry and sing;
Tremendous mercy, Lord! Now, in my life, You've come to me;
O, thank You, Jesus Lord; now in my life You've come to me.
O, thank You, Jesus Lord; now in my life You've come to me.
