This a song that boost my fellowship with the Creator of things. It is one of the hymns that readily comes to my mind during personal interaction with my Maker.

I love this, it blesses my soul...I just have to sing it, or even...maybe over again, my hope gets recorded..even in Christ.

As I draw near to God, He draws near to me. There is a nearness that every believer has with Him day by day, but when "the sun goes down, and darkness comes over me" there is a nearness of God that is.... I don't know the word. His nearness with His presence of light exposes me, but at the same time, His nearness with His presence of love comforts, strengthens and brings hope with dreams of His will in Christ.

This hymn portrays the experience of Jacob when he left his home to go to his uncle, Laban's house. We see a lonely Jacob...and a lonely God who desires a home....They both found each other.

I like this song because of its lyrical value. It sounds sad because when I watched the violinist playing this music, I felt like I liked to cry.
