Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

Experience of Christ Trusting Him

English568
1
’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His word;
Just to rest upon His promise;
Just to know, Thus saith the Lord.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him,
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er,
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more.
2
O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me,
'Neath the healing, cleansing flood.
3
Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life, and rest, and joy, and peace.
4
I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
My Precious Jesus, My Savior, and My Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,

Wilt be with me to the end. Now happy that am not alone. Even if my mother neglects I know that I have a friend.

This use to be one of my favorite hyms in high school back in the day. I forgot the lyrics, and was humming the song during my private devotion. I decided to goggle it to retrieve the lyrics, surprisingly someone had developed a musical background of the song. I could not stop singing. God bless you richly for touching my life positvely.

This song helps me to consecrate my life and trust in God. It tells me o'er and o'er that my trust in Jesus Christ has no backup - it is a trust without spare. It may seem hard at times to trust in Jesus but it is sweet in the long run through faith and by His grace.

I sang this song in my dream and since that day, I can't stop singing the song and this song has made me to understand that it's all about trusting Jesus and also that the only thing that differentiate me as a Christian from other religion is the "GRACE" of God and I always pray for this grace to trust Him more and more.
