Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

Experience of Christ Trusting Him

English568

1

’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His word;
Just to rest upon His promise;
Just to know, Thus saith the Lord.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him,
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er,
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more.

2

O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me,
'Neath the healing, cleansing flood.

3

Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life, and rest, and joy, and peace.

4

I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

This hymn is a testimony! I can still hear our Mother singing it to us, over 80 years ago. It was one of her favourites. I am sending a copy of the words to a beloved granddaughter. Thank you for this!

I will be having a trifusion port put in today for my upcoming stem cell transplant. The Lord gave me this hymn and I praise Him for that reminder. I have trusted Him thus far and I will continue to trust Him.

I am amazed that others said that the Lord brought this hymn to their minds as well. Yesterday when I woke up it came to my mind and I KNOW the Lord wanted me to read all the lyrics. I'm praying for all of you who need prayer. HE HAS YOU. Trust Him!!
