Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

English568

’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His word;
Just to rest upon His promise;
Just to know, Thus saith the Lord.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him,
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er,
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more.

O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me,
'Neath the healing, cleansing flood.

Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life, and rest, and joy, and peace.

I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

My daughter gave me set of blank music note cards for Mother's Day, knowing that I love to write to friends and loved ones. The lyrics of the hymns are printed on the front with a beautiful watercolor insect or flower. It is so sweet to trust in Jesus is the first one with a butterfly imprinted. As I reflected on the lyrics I realized that this is my testimony, this is my song!

This song popped up in my heart when I woke up just now and I came here searching for it.

I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

I was weighed down in my spirit today and I kept quoting Psalms 61:2 . When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

The Holy Spirit has a way of comforting our weary soul, this hymn fit perfectly in my own case tonight.

Trusting in God is the ultimate in fact that is the reason man is made. For me trusting in God is all I do and I'll forever do.

I woke up this morning humming this hymn. I wanted more words than just the chorus, so I found this site.

I like to sing it to Jesus changing the words “him” to “you! ”

Jesus, I believe you are LORD and your Father, God, raised you from the dead.

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame. ” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same LORD is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. ””

‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬-‭13‬ ‭ESV‬‬
