Leaning on the Everlasting Arms

1
What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
  Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
  Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
  Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
  Leaning, leaning,
  Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.
2
O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
  Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
  Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
3
What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
  Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
I have peace complete with my Lord so near,
  Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!

If the words of this song just played on repeat, softly, in the back of our minds for our entire lives, we'd all be so much better off. What a peaceful, joyful message for our hearts and souls to hear! Nothing to fear, nothing to be alarmed of... joy at knowing we're being held safely in the father's arms!

Last night my late mom came to my dream and she sang this song so loudly with me and we were enjoying with the song. I woke up suddenly and cried alot. How blessed I'm to choose by Jesus and walking with me every day though I commit sin unceasingly.. thank you Lord !

I remember this song from my youth. I haven't thought of it in decades, until this morning! I am grateful for the memory and this resource, to remind me GOD HAS NEVER FAILED!

HE "is" my undefeated champion. And I Must Lean on HIS skill, His providence to work out EVERY DETAIL.... in His timing (never late) and His perfect will (always the Best Way)!

I always am so encouraged reading these comments! Praying for you Jim and your recovery from your hip replacement. I’m thankful for the fellowship we all have in Christ and I look forward to the day that we will be gathered around the throne.

I’m having a hip replacement January 6, 2021. I am a Christian and just concerned about the outcome. I woke up this morning with this song that God placed on my mind.

I’m 70 plus and sang this song and ones like it growing up as a Christian. Praise the name of Jesus!

A truly lifting praise to our Lord. Nothing to dread, absolutely nothing to fear as long as I'm leaning on and entirely depending on the promises of the Almighty GOD.

I found out I had breast and lung cancer the Friday before Christmas of 2019. Breast cancer was a level one but lung cancer was a level three and needed treatment first. Finished chemo and radiation the Friday before Easter and waited four weeks to have a lumpectomy to remove the breast cancer. I was never sick during any of the treatments and never lost weight or my hair. Now it is October and I am in remission from lung cancer and breast cancer free. Plus we have had to deal with the COVID thru all these months. How have I coped? Leaning on the everlasting arms of God!

Thank you for posting this song ! Now I can listen each time I feel tired or sad.
